Chicago, Illinois – John A. McAllister, Jr., Accredited Land Consultant and owner of John McAllister Realty Consulting, LLC was appointed January 10th, 2012 to serve as Vice Chairman of The REALTORS Auction Forum, by Gary Thomas, 2012 National Association of REALTORS President-Elect.
McAllister said, “This appointment comes at a special time for me and my firm. This year we will be preparing for the 125th anniversary of John McAllister Realty Consulting, LLC (JMRC) in 2013. Founded by my great grandfather, John A. McAllister, in Mount Carmel a rural town in what was Abbeville County now McCormick County, South Carolina. Beginning in a narrow storefront in Mount Carmel, John A. McAllister began buying and selling agricultural land, Darrel J. McAllister, my grandfather continued the family tradition and passed it on to my father John A. McAllister. I have been a beneficiary of this brilliant strategy. I look forward to celebrating this summer my 35th year being licensed in the Real Estate Industry and using auctions to optimize my clients’ objectives for their property.”
The goal of NAR’s Auction Forum is to educate REALTORS about the benefits of using auction as a marketing tool for selling and purchasing property. In these forums, REALTORS learn how to introduce real estate auctions to clients and customers; identify benefits for the seller, buyer and agent; and understand how REALTORS can get involved in auctions.
